MEMBERSHIP

BDPA offers a forum for exchanging information and ideas pertaining to the ever changing computer industry. BDPA provides numerous networking opportunities through its monthly program meetings, seminars, workshops and the annual BDPA National Conference in chapter cities. Contacts are made between members who are employees of local and federal government agencies, private sector corporations, as well as with entrepreneurs. Additionally, BDPA chapters' support and participation in local career fairs facilitate career development.

BDPA has over 2,500 members in over 40 chapters and an online community of over 21,000 subscribers. About 60% of BDPA members are IT professionals (e.g. software developers, business analysts, testers, project managers, etc.). About 25% are high school and college students. Another 10% are entrepreneurs and consultants. Another 5% are managers and senior executives. BDPA also has a growing constituency of teachers, university professors and HR recruiters. BDPA members represent all ethnicities, age groups, and income levels and are geographically disbursed across the U.S. with a growing international following in Canada, England, France and Ghana.

BDPA membership is open to all persons regardless of race or sex in accordance with existing national and local chapter bylaws, and is open to individuals employed or interested in the information processing industry. .

Membership is available for persons who reside/work outside the immediate area of an established chapter at the same rate as full membership.

Annual Dues: $75 - Full Membership; $300 - 5-year Full Membership (5 years for the price of 4); $15 - Full-time Students (current student ID required). Local and national corporate sponsorship plans are also available. Contact local chapter and/or BDPA National Headquarters for details.
